Daddy reads a story

 

Madelyn lies in bed, but not by herself.

Her other toys have been put on the shelf.

 

A train, a bear and also a monkey.

By now Madelyn is really sleepy.

Daddy reads her a story about little ducks

that play in the water and hide in the reed.

 

But before he has finished,

She is fast asleep.
