Protest

Upon my one so smooth,

flexible and youthful body

time has left its weary foam.

Worn parts have been,

where possible, replaced

so I should be able to roam

the world, go where I wish to go

and feel happy doing so.

But my body needs its rests

Otherwise it will protest.
