Little bear

looks at the cupboard:

mum has left the door unlocked.

He takes a peek because he knows

there mummy keeps the honey pot.

He puts the pot onto his knee,

gently takes off the lid.

But just as he plans

to put his chubby paw in it …,

mama bear comes into the kitchen.

“Hey little bear what do I see!

Are you digging up some honey?

Quick, give me the pot, hand it to me.

This honey isn’t for you to take,

you know it’s for the tea.

And you’ll have some on your pancake.

That’s where honey is for, you see.”
