Dotty can’t come in the water

 

It is a nice and bright sunny day

Madelyn is glad; she is allowed to play

 

in cool water that mammy has fetched her.

She looks at Dotty, who is sitting there

on a little stool. She asks: “Mammy,

can Dotty come in the water too?”

 

“I don’t think that’ll be a good idea,

she won’t like it to get wet all through.”
